Proper dancewear worn for every class allows the faculty to observe and correct all body movements and placement.  The student can then achieve greater understanding, control and strength.  In order to give you the highest level of dance education we have listed our dress code requirements:

 


BALLET

Any solid color leotard, tights, ballet/pointe shoes, tight fitting dance shorts is acceptable over leotard and tights. No jewelry.  Hair secured off neck and face (messy bun ok); no ponytails.


JAZZ

Any combination of the following is acceptable – any solid color leotard, tights, tight fitting dance shorts, body hugging camisoles, jazz pants, sport bras, black jazz shoes (Dance Company required to have tan jazz shoes, too).  Hair can be worn down or the same as  Ballet.  No jewelry.


LYRICAL

Same as Jazz class.  Dance paws.


TAP

 Same as Jazz class.   Black Tap Shoes.


HIP-HOP

Any comfortable clothing (ie. Sweatpants, booty shorts, jazz pants, t-shirts, tank tops, camisoles.  Jazz sneakers, jazz shoes or clean tennis shoes (not worn outside). 


BOYS

Ballet – any solid color body hugging t-shirt, men’s leggings or jazz pants, black or white ballet shoes.  Jazz – same body wear as ballet with black jazz shoes.  Tap – same body wear as ballet with black tap shoes.  Hip-Hop – any comfortable clothing (ie. sweatpants, jazz pants, t-shirt, jazz sneaker, jazz shoe or clean tennis shoes (not worn outside).


• Please allow our staff to fit your shoes. Tah Dah, Ltd. Boutique, located in the front office, can supply all of your shoe/dancewear needs.


• No T-shirts, sweatshirts, or cover-ups allowed in dance classes.


• Please wear hair securely up and away from face. No ponytails please.


• Jewelry may not be worn in class.
