Arrival – Dancers should be in class and rehearsal on time.  If you arrive late, unexcused, you will only be allowed to observe.

Dress Code – All Dancers are to be in black leotard with black, pink or suntan tights and appropriate shoes.  If the dancer chooses to wear jazz pants they must also be black.  Hair must be pulled up off the neck and away from the face in a bun or a braid secured to the head. No ponytails.  No jewelry is allowed. Any Dancer not complying with the dress code will not be allowed in class.

Conventions – Members of the Training Level program are required to attend a minimum of one dance convention per year but are encouraged to attend more. They are also required to attend any other performances as determined by the Artistic Director.  In order to assist with your annual calendar, specific dates will be announced as soon as we receive the information.  All Training Level members will be required to have their own non-faculty chaperone. Convention expenses such as convention tuition, hotel/travel expenses, administrative fees and all costumes/shoes will be at dancer’s own expense. Extenuating circumstances may occur which prevent a student from attending a convention (i.e. serious illness, injury/death in the immediate family, etc...) in such an event, each individual case will be determined by the Artistic Director and Training Level Directors.

Required Auditions - StageWorks Projects, Inc. offers many performance opportunities.  Nutcracker Ballet is a required audition for all Training Level members.  Summer musicals are a recommended audition for all dancers.

Showcase Volunteers: A parent is required to volunteer for one showcase rehearsal and performance.

ARTICLE II – SUSPENSION/DISMISSAL

Any unexcused absence from Training Level classes will result in a two-week in-class suspension.  (The Dancer would be required to attend class but will only be allowed to observe and take notes turned into faculty at end of class.)  A second unexcused absence results in the Training Level member being placed in regular classes. An absence is considered excused if the front desk receives advance notification from the DANCER'S PARENT.  If you are 18, a parent or guardian is still required to call to excuse you. If you have consistent poor attendance at the Training Level IV, you will automatically be moved to Training Level III, and so on. If, at the I thru III levels, poor attendance continues after a warning has been given, the dancer will be moved from the Training Level program into regular classes. Tardiness and frequent absences are discouraged and monitored closely.

When the Training Level members are at a convention, it is mandatory for dancers to participate in EACH AND EVERY CLASS.  In the event you are injured or ill you must inform the Artistic Director or one of the Training Level Directors to be excused.

One verbal warning will be given for unruly behavior, talking, or any behavior disruptive in class and/or the Directors.  Dancers will be asked to leave in lieu of another warning.  If a Dancer wishes to be released from their contract before the term year is up, they must do so in writing to the Artistic Director a minimum of 60 days prior to their leaving.  Dancers wishing to exercise their option to be released from this contract may not do so within 60 days of a performance or convention date.  The Artistic Director has the right to terminate a dancer’s contract at any time they feel their behavior is not in keeping with the Training Level program’s philosophy and policies.

All convention fees are NON-REFUNDABLE. Extenuating circumstances may occur (i.e. serious illness, injury or death in the immediate family) in such an event, each individual case will be evaluated by the Artistic Director.

The Artistic Director also reserves the right to make decisions regarding suspensions and dismissals of Training Level members on a case to case basis.

ARTICLE III – TERMINATION

By signing this contract you are hereby agreeing to comply with all terms and conditions stated herein.  Failure to comply will result in termination of contract.

All monies are non-refundable and non-transferable. Voluntary termination of your contract requires a 60 day written notice. Tuition for those 60 days remains your responsibility along with any unpaid balances on your account.   In the event your contract is terminated by the Artistic Director unpaid balances are due and payable immediately.

ARTICLE IV – CONCERNS

CONCERNS MUST BE MADE TO THE ARTISTIC DIRECTOR IN WRITING OR DURING A SCHEDULED MEETING. CONCERNS SHOULD BE LIMITED TO TRAINING LEVEL POLICIES, PROCEDURE, AND PHILOSOPHY. ARTISTIC CONCERNS SUCH AS PROGRAM DEVELOPMENT, CHOREOGRAPHY, TRAINING LEVEL PLACEMENT, OR CASTING ARE NOT APPROPRIATE ISSUES TO BE RAISED.
